A modernist response to the disappearing Venice, CA bungalow results in a ghost of the past floating above a walk street. The upper floor is a white metal cloud that shrouds the private areas and enhances the sculptural invocation of a dream-vision  bungalow. An open public floor slips underneath with seamless indoor/outdoor openings, transparency between public rooms, and a commitment to festivity reflected in elements such as a built-in dj booth. The charcoal exterior walls of the upper-story dematerialize at sunset, fading to black and directing attention to the warm illumination of the ground floor and the frontage onto the walk street which opens to the neighborhood with a large porch-like outdoor room.
